Songs (Calico): These songs should be familiar. A good way to START your Spanish exploration time: Hola a Todos Alfabeto Colores, Colores Storyplace: a digital library for children -> stories, games, activities about different subjects. These are some that we've seen in class: Sonrisa de Claudio (Claudio's Smile) A story of a crocodile who looses his tooth and asks his friends for help. A shelled friend finds the tooth for him. Coloree el Arcoiris (Color the rainbow) Freda, a frog, needs help identifying the colors of her belongings, which match the rainbow. 2nd Grade Songs (Calico): These songs should be familiar. It has many subjects, each with introduction, tutorial, activities and games!! The pages are made to look like road signs from Europe. They look just like the ones Senor Garrido sees while driving around Spain! :) Beginner and Intermediate levels can be chosen. One can continue learning at one's own pace. Upper School3rd Grade
At this point in the year, we work on Partes del Cuerpo = Body Parts Here are some helpful materials: Todo mi cuerpo (Calico) - familiar song. Partes del cuerpo (Rockalingua) - new song, with extras... Song lyrics and drawings (download) Worksheet (download): students can work on pages 1-5 (exercises 1-8) and/or the sopas de letras (word searches) on pages 11 (fácil = easy) and 12 (difícil = hard).
